Locking Wheel Nuts

Locking Wheel Nuts

Help please ! My CentreLine alloys have locking wheel nuts (magnetic aparently) but I don't have a key for them ! Any ideas ? THe locking nuts have a chrome cover which has to come off, then you use the key. Does anyone know how to get hold of a key please?

Thanks guys

Re: Locking Wheel Nuts

Hi

I dont think you'll get a key these days! Try a small magnet (Fridge Magnet maybe) to get the chrome cover off, see Which Cobra to build ?
once the cover is off you should be left with a normal hex nut.
HTH Cheers

Re: Locking Wheel Nuts

Thanks - have just tried with a selection of fridge magnets and even my youngest son's GeoMag magnetic building set (brilliant toy by the way!) but wouldn't budge ! I have looked on the net and many companies sell locking-nut removal kits for tyre dealers so it is possible that I can get a local tyre fitters to get them off.....will keep you all advised for interest!
