Fan Not Working... Help!!

The radiator fan has stopped working. I checked the relay fuse and it seems OK. If I short across the thermostatic switch in the radiator it fires up OK so am I correct in assuming the thermo switch is buggered? Is there any other way of checking this?
It's the sort that is screwed into the rad so is it a simple replacement from a motor factors. Is there a paticular type. Presumably I have the drain the water out again too.
Please reply soon - I'm planning to go to Rockingham but won't be able to without the fan working
Cheers,
Kevin......

Re: Fan Not Working... Help!!

Hi Kevin.

If you short out the switch and it works its almost certainly shot. There are different temp ranges, normally marked on the flats, or the casing of the switch. Ie 92c-82c, 100c-92c.
If its either of these I have some your welcome to have. I,m only in Barcombe just south of Uckfield, In fact I'm also going to Jarvis Brook in the morning for MOT, so I could drop round. Failing that a trip to Martin Story in the morning is in order. Mail me if you want either of mine.
Cheers
