Like your sense of humour Sprocket, keep it up. Good luck with your SVA.

Smile At home

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the replies and making me feel right at home. Andy, Get yer coat........ we're going to the pub! No harm done. I have noticed that some of these replies are not from the aforementioned regions, I suppose that's the good thing about the club and this site, it's always nice to hear from everyone or anyone from around the country or even the globe.

I'm actually called Paul, not Daley. I think Kevin has been looking at my previous posts. I'm not affiliated with Autobrass, only in that I bought some hood fittings from him a short while ago (not fitted yet).

I sent off my SVA application last Friday so have not booked an appointment at the Shrewsbury test centre yet. It's the closest one to me, I'm from Ledbury, Herefordshire.

I've nearly finished my first build, A Dax Tojeiro with a Repower 355hp (yet to find out), 350 Chevy tied to a 3550 Tremec box, sounds fantastic! I can't wait to drive it about this summer. I think I'll get it sprayed next winter by SMS, unless anyone has any other recommendations closer to home?

But that's enough about me, what about you?

Yeah, don't remind me. So little time and so many things to do...and then there is the Cob!

If it was as simple as ' Put it back together ' I would have been up for it as a spectacle for the Club but I seem to be making and remaking bits just to be put back by the next clearance or fit issue.

Mike Huddart seems to have solved one of my main problems. Prop issue looks like it's sorted and my clutch release and brakes are moving slowly in the right direction.

Its getting there. Do have the threat of a VIC test so the car can't look all new and shiny as SVA may be requested.

Sprocket, you will find that your Repower motor will do what it says on the tin mate. I had the same in my Dax, and had it on a rolling road dyno. It's figures were 354bhp and 367lbft torque, can't remember the revs those were at though.
Good luck with your SVA.
