The Wiltshire Run - Sunday 15 May

For those that are interested, a run through the Wiltshire countryside has been arranged, which will culminate in a BBQ at Savernake Forest nr. Marlborough. We will meet at Townsends Garden Centre In Bath Road, Devizes (SN10 2BB) at 10:00am for coffee and a short stroll to view the Caen Hill flight of locks on the Kennet & Avon Canal (at 29 locks the longest flight on the British canal network). Then the run will take us to the BBQ site.

Sites on the way will include the standing stones at Avebury, then onto Marlborough followed by a few minutes drive to Postern Hill in the Savernake Forest for a relaxing BBQ, before continuing onto Lacock in the late afternoon for a final stop for Tea etc.
For the BBQ, Jocelyn & I will provide the coals et al, but it would be appreciated if everyone could provide some food on the day. In essence, bring what you would like to eat: That way we avoid having a stack of 200 burgers without any buns to stuff 'em in

If anyone has any queries then please feel free to contact me.

No problem. I'm relieved it went so well and (just about) to plan and I'd love to do something similar next year.

Have to say though - you missed a great tea back at the King John Tea Rooms @ Lacock.
If you or indeed anyone is passing that way, it is simply superb
