If they had been more open, none of this would have happened!

I do find the comments of Shit Stirring, Muscle Flexing and Non Attendance of Monthly Meetings strange though! Goodwood is not my local meet and I do more than my fair share of cobra miles attending all the SE meets and shows (of which I have organised many all of which are advertised on here for all to attend) together with an attendance at most of the National Kit Car Shows throughout the year. All I did was to ask why this supposed Club Display was not advertised to those local to it!

Peter you obviously feel that I need to apologise, and rather than do it over the phone I would rather make it open.

Peter I Am Sorry if you found my comments insulting. I Apologise.

Chris, It takes a real man to acknowledge they may be in the wrong, we all feel our point of view or actions are valid and justified but can unfortunately be misconstrued by others. I thank you for your generous remarks and think we should kick this into touch now, life's too short.
One thing that this has brought up though is the need for better advertising of possible events for all of us to attend. As the magazine is only going to come out every three months now (if funds permit!) (you will be receiving one in a day or two) we have to project these dates to members in a more timely fashion or have somewhere they can go to view the current events they can attend. I think the website with a rolling list of events and attendance info is the best way to go if done properly, we just need someone to take on this task and encourage everyone to feed in the event dates and info they know of to help all members. I wonder if there is a member that feels it's worth taking on?
You really should come to one of our monthly meets, we're a friendly sociable bunch and we always convoy out for a pub lunch at a quality venue once we have met at Goodwood, and that goes for anyone not quite in our catchment area, the more the merrier. Best Regards, Pete

Hi Rob, thanks for the info. I did not explain myself too well I think. What I was thinking about was a listing by date order that could drop off as the date went by to keep it fresh. I thought perhaps the name of the event and location, for tomtom lovers, the post code, a click on multi map or street map of the best way into the event, organisers telephone number, website, email details and maybe a write up on the event. Martin Smallridge does an excellent bit in his area meet newsletter a bit like I'm describing for his own group.
I get sent details by EventsPR etc of some shows but not all and I include what I can in the magazine (which of course now has a longer lead in time than before) some has to get left out or more usuallyI just don't get info on them.
Be gentle with me, I'm not trying to make extra work for you, I'm not savvy with what can or cannot be put up easily on the website, these were more a "wish list" I thought might be helpfull for people to download and stick on their notice board or fridge next to the chinese take away menu as a memory jogger, best intentions, Pete.

Could this info be displayed directly on the front instead of the latest poll (which personally I'm no big fan of).

It already is, the calendar block is displayed on the top right on the homepage, just mouse over and the heading appears.
