| Orbital polisher for Farecla Hello, does anyone in my area (Farnborugh, J4 of the M3) have an orbital polisher I could borrow please? I need one thats suitable for use with G3/G10 polishing compond and can be fitted with a g-Mop head. Needs to be in the 1800rpm area. I've tried various things to get the polish to "work" and the nice man at Farecla said my Halfords special isn't close to being up to the job. Alternatively, anyone know a good place to get one or hire one? Thanks in advance. Graham

| Re: Orbital polisher for Farecla yeah, buying one might be the answer, I might need it for a while as the flashlines slowly come off. I spoke to the nice people at Farecla, they are quite specific about needing 1800-2000 rpm and using one of their Gmop heads. Has anyone tried one of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILVERLINE-180...QQcmdZViewItem Only £40 and seems to be the right spec. I can also get one locally from a tool shop rather than Ebay. cheers graham

| Re: Orbital polisher for Farecla I went too a place the other day to get a gmop head. While I was there I noticed some of these on the shelves. Apparently Farecla give this exact model free with some of their trade packs of polish. Must be up to the job then!!

| Re: Orbital polisher for Farecla Hi Graham, Have just gone down the same route although bought a Makita from Screwfix instead. Great results from Farecla although after using G10 I still had "machine haze" or hologram marks in bright sunlight. Bought some G4 liquid at the weekend and it has worked miracles, not the slightest of "whirls" evident even in the brightest of sunlight, bodywork now looks "wet" even without any polish/glaze For your next step have a look at this, it certainly changed my views on things http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html and then http://www.advancedcarproducts.com there are also some good reviews on epinions on these products also http://www.epinions.com/content_239892860548 Best of luck Noel

| Re: Orbital polisher for Farecla Thanks Noel, I think some of those NSX guys have too much time on their hands. I've ordered a polisher today, though I connected my Gmop upto an electric drill at the weekend and gave it a go as a test, its brilliant, the 1500 grit marks disappear very nicely and the black gelcoat looks amazing. Its very hard to hold in the drill so the polisher is essential for doing a whole car. Cheers Graham
