Gary. For a oneoff install just make one up with a socket extension bar and a roll of insulating tape

Gary

I have to agree with Tony, I purchased one of these items and thought it would never work it however has been the best clutch alighment tool I have had.

The bonus is it will fit just about any clutch assy.

Re: Clutch Alignment Tool for Chevy

I have used the socket extension and insulating tape for years myself too, works perfect, infinitely adjustable, fits any car, van or lorry, costs zip.

My point too. I can't see the logic of spending money on something you will use once to mearly fit the gearbox.

I have a lovely piece of turned beech which does the job fine! (Sorry - its Ford pattern only!)

Re: Clutch Alignment Tool for Chevy

I borrowed a rather nice one and then had to supplement the tape already on it!

I used to see one of these extension bars with tape round in my Dads tool box when I was younger. I always wondered what it was for!!!!!!
