Torque Wrench

Does anyone have a Torque wrench capable if tightening a 41mm nut to 200 ft lbs (272Nm) that I could borrow for a very short time.

It's for the drive shaft retaining nuts on Tom's Rush, Sierra drum brake back axle. I have a 41mm 3/4" socket but only a 1/2" Torque wrench capable to 210Nm.

West Kent area.

Cheers.

Andi.

Wink

I found i could hire one from a hire shop that had industrial and agriculturla gear - was twice the size of a standard torque wrench. But when I mentioned this to a mechanic, he just said ' do 'em up FT' , which is the same as 210 Nm I beleive!

Trust me you don't want to buy one! We only use it a couple of times a year. But you can't take any chances with truck wheel nuts Anywhen is ok for you to collect. If we are out I can always leave it somewhere

What have you got for me Andi?

Are you keeping the grill bars?
If it is the alternator you have I will still take it but no need to make a special trip. I think I have managed to sort the vacuum problem now, but won't be sure until I run the car again.

Unless of course you just want to come and have a look at the EFI gear.

Got a new laptop today as well and typing on it now. Seems quite nice to use.

Craig.

We might well have to go to TW as we do buy tyres from Freeway. I'll let you know if we do.
