| West Midlands Meet A bit chilly but enjoyable despite the Siberian winds. Hopefully as the warmer weather draws nearer a few more souls will grace the stalwarts with their presence at the new venue, which I believe is shortly to be renamed the " Darker-Hued Youngster of the Male Gender". ( PS Iain I've already used the Crimewatch joke to great success.) The brand new DB was most pleasing to the eye but it did lack the character and patina created by the usual post SVA blobs of silicone sealant that seem to adhere limpet like to every exposed surface of normal new Cobra's. Well they did on mine anyway!! It was also nice to see proper black rubber hoses in the DB engine bay. That coupled with the stories of certain Rover V8's and the associated smell of burning Duckhams 20/50 made me all nostalgic. The only downside was the presence of some empty wine bottle breaking delinquents showing off in their flash motors and sporting what could have been construed as " fetish gear". This is especially true of the lady in the red leather jacket, the red leather elbow length gauntlets, the matching red leather flying helmet and the WW1 red leather trimmed flying goggles...........for a moment I thought that Baron von Richthoven had landed behind English lines ! Kids today eh!! Cheers, Tony PS Somebody also came in a Mazda MX5. Who let them in?

| Thanks for organising it, hopefully we will get a greater turnout as the weather warms up. It is just as well I left before the DB replica arrived, it would have really shown how dirty mine was. Regards Neil |

| Hi Kurmett Well done for organising The Black Boy meet on Sunday ,it was great to see you all. I know its not easy to rally the troops so early in the year but with the good summer ahead of us it should bring the rest of the Midlands out of hibernation. In my opinion the shiny new 2007 Dax De Dion 5.7 Chevy V8 finished in Ford Imperial Blue with twin silver Le Mans stripes looked and sounded awsome, but I would say that because it's all MINE Keep up the good work cheers John ......... a very happy Cobra owner
