Le Mans Classic - Midlands

Hi,
How many Midlands based owners are planning on taking their Cobras to the Le Mans Classic next year ?
Having spoken to Andy S, I understand the South-East based owners have grouped together to pay for ferry and entry tickets for someone prepared to drive a support vehicle for them. Would the Midlands owners be prepared to do the same?
I'm intending to take my yet to be delivered Cobra and I'm a little concerned about how much kit I won't be able to take
If someone has a van or something similar and would be interested in going as a support barg, then maybe we could have a show of hands from those willing to chip in for a ticket.

Im in the mids, and have thrown my cap in with the SE crew.

I am sure they wont mind you tagging along, but there are 40 or so cars going i think, so we may well find we are all going down in different groups, so the "pit crew" cannot readily support everybody.

We're not planning on taking the Cob next year, so if there is any interest in this idea, i wouldn't mind driving the support vehicle.

We have already sorted the tickets with Andy so all that would be needed is a decent van with the right insurance.

Hi Rich,
We'll have to see how many other people are interested in the idea as I don't have a van. My daily driver is a Range Rover Sport and whilst it was great last year for driving down to Le Mans, it isn't exactly a "van".
I was thinking more of a barge to carry tents, cookers, sleeping bags etc. than an actual backup crew, although it would be nice to have someone around with some tools if there were needed.
I would also chip in with the SE crew, but I would still have the dilema of how to get my gear down there.

So Richard why aren't you going in your Cobra about time you pulled your finger out and got on with building that car so you can go in your Cobra with the rest of us

Cos he's a lazy git spending too much time on here and down the pub instead of getting out in the garage and actually finishing his cob..............
