Phone track developments and discuss it with them, they'll tailor a price to your needs.

Why the reluctance to disclose ?

I have seen this many times on the forum and wonder why people are coy about telling what a particular service cost them ?

Happy Xmas to all.

Paul

..because it undermines the service provider. If for some reason the costs to you are more, or less, this can be damaging to their reputation even though the same job could have taken twice as long for various reasons.

This is all a bit different when costs are openly available, for example, the Dax price list etc.

No reluctance Paul, I had my car sorted in the summer, prices may have changed since then and I didn't want to put the nice people at Track Developments in the situation of "but I was told it was only £xxx", plus, as I stated, the prices are dependant on what is required, pointless me quoting a price for my vehicle if your vehicle (or someone else's) needs different work. The only people able to give a specific price for specific work are the people doing the job. At the time I had my work done, I had a full day at Track Development and it cost me in the region of £250, money well spent in my opinion

Hi Big Tone,

I'll have to get hold of a copy of Snake Torque but in the meantime can you tell was it just the suspension that they setup, i.e. The shocks and springs or was it the gemometry as well?

From my "back yard" fiddlings I found that it would not be possible to set up either the front end or rear end without "cutting metal". Did they do this for you or had you already sorted out the well known issues that the sumo has?

250 quid for a days work by people who know what they're doing ain't bad at all IMHO!

Regards,

Pete

Pete, they did cut metal at the front to get the geometry correct, I'd already sorted the rear and TD was very happy with the set-up. Of course as a member you'll be getting the latest issue of snaketorque through your letterbox very soon won't you if you're not a member then support the club that has supported you and join up

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the guide on the cost that you incurred. This gives us an idea rather than hoping it's a £50 job then getting a bit of a shock. I know that diffrent cars, even of the same make, will have different levels of work involved and that you may have been able to strike a bit of a deal, but showing what you paid, gives us an idea.

Cheers

Paul
