Hi Ian My advice to you is do all of the above. I have found out over the past few years that everyone wants something different from their local club meets. Just to back up my feelings, I have kept the regional meets at the same place as everyone knows where and when. This doesn’t suit a few who can’t make a Sunday, so a midweek meet is a great way of overcoming this. Some don’t like car park meets so when weather permits we have a picnic somewhere in a different environment. This also suits those who use the excuse of somewhere they can take the kids. Shows and car events took a backseat last year and that suited those whose wife’s are fed up with car events. I have to add that whatever people request you must try and if anyone has any ideas then let them have a free range and all of your support and the event is always attended by a few cobs. I myself have this dilemma every year and in the end so many people want so many different things that I organise a few and support whatever others want to do or organise. You will find that the ones who want certain stuff don’t so readily step up to the plate and organise them. So chill out and do one of each and if it goes well then do another. I wish you luck catch up at Stoneleigh.

| Hi Iain, As suggested above some variety is needed I think, which is why I promoted the winter meets to coincide with the Britannic meetings. To turn up at the Black Boy with maybe only one or two others is not the most magical of events, which is why in our Walsall informal group we do curry nights, other trips and drives. It is difficult because the West Mids is a big region so evening meets might struggle and curry nights ditto. I do think that trying some other events might help though. All of the ones you suggest are worth a go. David

| Breakfast club sounds great (apart from the hour!), unfortunately can't make April one. Now I'm up and running it would be good to have a few more outings, and possibly the odd (non-alcohlic) pub crawl by cob. As said, given distances the week day evenings one maybe out for me. Other than that, tell me where, when, and how and I'm easy.... Dave

| How about a monthly meet at the Shakespear raceway when they are having one of their drag racing events? I also like the idea of a curry evening, and meeting at the Britannia before sloping off to the Black Boy. Cheers, Tony

| Hi Iain It would be nice to do some or all of the suggestions you have made. The Breakfast club seems a very good idea and also meeting up at the Britannia one Sunday. Maybe we could hold a joint meeting, as last year, with the East Mids Group. How's the Dax now the steering and suspension mods have been done. Phil
