I don't believe it! I knew the previous owner of that car (initials JA... I know his full name, but to protect his privacy, I'm only identifying him by his initials here). I've sat in that car and very nice (and quick) it is too. Thought it was a 302, but evidently not.

Cheers,
Ian.

Hya Ian.
This car i sourced through a friend of mine at work, actually his fathers G. Dawson from stevenage.Just came as a bit of a surprise just to only come across your message, and you could be more than right, but i don't have my papers close by to follow up history. The engine is a 289, straight cut race gears, re-bored to 5ltr as i know as registered only, 302 crank, Crower Hauler cam, roller rockers, big port head, Mc Leod street/strip clutch.
Thats all i know for now.Thank you for your welcome and reply, interesting.Your right it is quick, so friends say.
Rob(GOL4D).

Nice engine build. The chap I knew who owned the car previously has, unfortunately, passed-away. His name was John Abbott and he lived at Hollowell, on the outskirts of Northampton. As far as I know, he built the car; he was a very talented individual (retired engineer by trade) and, at one point, tried to launch his own kit-car in conjunction with a business partner.

I still love that reg!

Cheers,
Ian.

Hello Rob. Another young man with a Cobra.
Well I guess I am not young anymore now that I am 40.

Nice to see a DAX with a proper engine in it.
