New member in the Wye Valley

Hi All

I could do with a number of tips from you folks so though I'd join up!

A friend and I share a Cobra kit; its a DMS Venom with 4.3L Rover V8.
It's not been out for a while and I'm planning a trip to France in it this summer so it needs a bit of fettling before I go. Last summer I finally dumped the Holley carb and switched to a Weber 500 (great improvement) but it needs setting up properly and there are a few other areas which need attention before a long journey.

Anyway

Look forward to speaking to you soon

James

Hello James,

It's nice to know there is someone relatively close. I'm in Ledbury, Herefordshire. My Dax has just passed its SVA test and I'm near registering it and looking forward to a few outings.

I can't help you specifically but I understand there is a rolling road tuning shop in Tewkesbury I might go along myself soon do you know of it? can't recall the name of it right now but if you're interested I'll let you know.

Hi Sprocket good to hear from you. I love driving along the Ledbury road, toward the Wye Valley which is where the car is kept - its such a pretty route. Would be cool to meet up at some point when I have the car up here.

There are two rolling roads in Tewkesbury; firstly theres the Race Shack (raceshack.co.uk - Home) on Northway Lane, then theres the Power Station in Northway itself (PowerStation). Race Shack have quoted £95/hour + VAT. Power Station look like they are more into their Japanese turbos so probably not such a good bet. I have been told that there is a good place in Cheltenham that would be better, can't remember what their details are but can find out and let you know if you're interested.

Would be interested to know more about your car - is there a description or suchlike in your profile to save you regurgitating it all?

Cheers

JP

Talking Rolling road

Hi James,

Welcome to the forum. Can`t help you specificly with the rolling road but if you find one near to you it would be worth knowing. I rebuilt my 3.5 last year and although it feels fine I`m sure it could do with a proper set up and your not far from me. Look forward to meeting you at some time.

Bob

Hello James,

I would be interested in the Cheltenham place, yes.

My car is a Dax Tojeiro, 350sbc with a Tremec3550 box. There are some pics in my gallery if you would like to see it. No paint as yet though. I thought I might drive it now and get it painted in the winter.

Hi James
Sorry i missed your post first time around. Welcome to the club.
We finished building our DMS late last year and are now making lots of mods to make it better.
Cheers

Hi another Cobrateer within striking distance, I've regularly burbled through Tewksbury and Ledbury and surrounding areas.
It's good to know like minded nutters.
Best of luck and see you soon.
