I think that a Cobra can be a powerful tool to help somebody to fight and to survive.
Could we have pictures of the Cobra?
I am sure everybody is ready to give technical advices and also to give physical help to any Cobra lover (if he needs arms).
I am a bit surprized that "Paul" did not write on our forum.

Ive Got to say this seems a strange post, ie fast replies then when SLIGHTLY questioned no reply???.

I sincerely hope this is an honest post as only a very sad person would attempt to extract money with such a sad pretence.

Dianne if I am wrong thinking the above please accept my sincere apologies, if no reply is forthcoming I will assume the worse.
Kind Regards

Only your help thats more than eough

When I wrote that it was just a matter of speech and dont want anything from anyone moneywise it was just something I said in the conversation as I myself personally feel helpless helping Paul.

BUT all your help here with technical answers is all we need and are really grateful to you all answering us with the help and your support.

Thank you all again.

The answer to the header tank was great as he stood at the bonnet yesterday for ages trying to work out what that third pipe was for but now knows that it goes to the ground as an overflow pipe. He said he looked in the Dax manual but it never mentioned it anywhere so your help was valuable to him.

Diane & Paul

Thank you

Thank you for all your support.

The answer to the header tank is exactly what he needed.

He had looked everywhere in the Dax Manual but it was nowhere to be seen.

The reason Paul did not write is because he was at the Cobra and asked me to look on here to see if I could look at peoples photos to see if it showed what the third pipe was while he polished the engine bay before the engine goes in on Sunday coming.

I said I didnt know what I was looking for and he said go to the Cobra Club and put the question in there. So I tried but it said I had to register and introduce etc........ So I did for Paul and then the answers came back and he was delighted as he had wondered all afternoon what to do with it. He kept saying that on any other car you dont need an overflow and wondered why it would need it???? I havent a clue but you all seem to have answers one way or another - which is GREAT!

When the answers came back so soon he was was so grateful to you.

Paul is not the best speller in the world and because Ive worked all my life in an office he seems to pass anything to do with writing over to me. THANKS PAUL!

Im sure he shall be asking more from you all and thank you in advance.

I have some pictures of the car in progress over the years that I can put on here for him - just to let you see how far he is with it all.

Thank you all again

Diane

Unfortunately the Dax manual does that a lot!

Just stick a post on here and it will be answered. That's how I built my car.

Craig.

Thanks Craig

The next thing he shall be asking you is where some of the wiring goes!

He has put all the wiring in ready for the engine and the all the clocks etc but I know that the diagram has changed since he bought the kit years back

Apparently he has to call some guy that had drawn the diagram for him to tell Paul where this extra wire or something like that has to go - BUT I shall ask Paul to write here later - even if its one word an hour - hes to have a go at writing to you all.

Diane

Reason for the overflow pipe is merely damage limitation.
In your tin top if the rad cap blows it will cover everything under the bonnet with water and antifreeze. On the Dax setup it will hopefully drain the water away to the ground and not leave your lovely engine bay in need of some serious cleaning.

Wiring is not a problem. I have the latest diagram and colour codes so should be able to sort things out. There is another chap on here called Dave Brookes. He builds Dax's for a living so what he dosen't know about them is not worth knowing.

Craig.

Craig

Another thing he asked me to look for on the internet yesterday was how much water does the Chevy 350 small block take when he fills the engine and rad up next Sunday.

Also - I see you have same as Paul - Dax Cobra - 350 Chevy and Tremec and like us no money lol We asked Repower where we got the Tremec from for the oil etc but they arent stocking it anymore. What oil are you using on your engine etc?????

Thank you again

Thanks again Craig

When Paul raises from the bed I shall ask him to write on here to ask the question. I know he shall be chuffed. Since having the cancer he gets really emotional even at the slightest help from someone.

Thank you EVERYONE
