Wink Hi from a non-Cobra owner

I'm Paul Skett, owner of a Noble (Ferrari) P4 replica .... and also, for my sins, secretary and registrar to the P4 Replica Register.

Just having 'a nose' around your forum, and I thought I ought to make an introductory post, before anyone accuses me of 'lurking'.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forum.

My mate Arthur has had his first big run-out in his recently SVA'd Noble P4 he came down to Stoneleigh with us & 2 other cobras, it looks absolutely stunning on the road.

Then Steve, you must be Art's Cobra-owning buddy who came down in convoy with him, and kindly carried his roof section for him.

I'm very familiar with Art's car, obviously having seen it 'in the fiberglass' at Stoneleigh for the first time; but also having followed it's painstaking rebuild (in photos) on our BB over the last 3 years - and also from first seeing it back in November 2000, down at Sienna Cars old premises, in Sutton Veny - when it was offered for sale as a 'restoration project' (that's being polite). Quite a transformation.

I only signed up on this forum to see if there were any comments about (or additional photos) of the two P4s on display at Stoneleigh.

I did take a stroll over to the Cobra Replica Club stand - a very impressive turnout, I must say !
Thought I might have found another Noble P4 replica lurking there - but it didn't show.

I didn't have my Noble P4 replica at Stoneleigh, either, sadly. Needs a bit of work after a long lay-up.

Here's a link to a few (older) photos of it from 2004 if anyone's interested:

What ferrari is this ? (P4 Replicas) - Supercars.net

Spec' and a couple more photos in post #39 underneath that.

I wasn't particulary 'worried' about it - just rather disconcerted, as I didn't get any such 'error' message on my first nor third posts.

I was more 'hacked off' because it was (in comparision to the others) a rather longer post ....

.... and hence I don't think I'll bother re-typing it all - if it has disappeared into a 'black hole'. Sorry.

Your post seems to have appeared there now

Good looking car you have there and welcome to the forum.

I think the reason new members posts get withheld is if they have a link to another website in it. I think it's to stop spammers and trolls placing loads of links to dodgy websites. Not that I have anything against dodgy websites

Craig.

Thanks, Craig - and to whoever passed my post for moderation.

Me ? Give you lot a link to a dodgy website ? Would I ?
You want 'dodgy' - try: Snaketorque - the cobra replica forum and message board - Index

Yes, it appears you're correct in your assumption, Craig. By means of a test (and for a bit of a laugh), I put a link to an extremely dodgy website in my previous post - and I got the same 'error' message. It hasn't appeared yet, either.
