I bought the second one I tested, its a Dax with rover v8. I agree that the Chevy or Ford engines are preferrable but when I saw mine and how good it looked I couldnt walk away. It was still more than I wanted(was able) to pay but I was in love!!! Im having a few engine troubles but off to a rolloing road for a tune up in about 1.5 hours so hopefully will soon be burning rubber and doing my bit to kill the environment?

When you get it remember your not only putting a smile on your face but every one elses as well

Glad you're happy with it and I hope you get your engine niggles sorted. ASt least these V8s are reasonably straight forward. Mine puts out 250bhp in standard tune and I'm hoping to up that to 300 without too much expense. All the best and I'll look out for your future posts, although I'm not great at working these forums!

Obsession, is that your real name?

The next South West meet is at the Ley Arms, Kenn near Exeter on Sunday 6th July from 12 noon.
Bring it along and have a chat, the guys will give you a lot of info that could save you time and money before you start changing things on the car.

Welcome by the way.

Ps. as a South West Newbie, you will need to do your homework about wardrobe doors before attending a meet.

Hi Chris (Obsession) Welcome
Where in Sussex are you collecting the car from? Just make sure you include breakdown cover with your Insurance and DRIVE IT (carefully) I do Sussex to Exeter and back every November, starting out at 5.30am so your jaunt should be a breeze
