I'm new ... hello!

Hi All, I've decided to join your forum as I'm seriously considering buying a Cobra real soon. So thought I'd say hi!

My name's Mark and I live in Suffolk (nr. Halesworth) and would be interested to know if I have any nearby enthusiasts?

I'm going to look at a DAX tomorrow (in Essex) and, whilst I'm in that neck of the woods, aim to pop into DJ Sportcars to have a look around. I have a tendency to buy on impulse but am really going to try and sound things out this time as I really know very little about Cobra's! If I have any questions I'll definitely be looking here for any help I can get ...

My budget is around the £20k mark so am realistic about the type of car that will afford me but am very excited about the prospect of owning one!

Thumbs up

Welcome Mark, look before you leap, and do rest assured that many on here have a wealth of knowledge; ask for advice and it shall be forthcoming!

You'll enjoy a visit to DJ's, as a non-engineer myself I find the staff are friendly and helpful with any queries.

Paul/runt

Good luck with your search Mark, and TAKE YOUR TIME, look at loads then decide what is best for you.
If you are looking at one that is already built, then without highjacking the thread mine will be up for sale straight after our trip to lemans next week, take a look in my gallery for pictures and if you are interested drop me a PM with a phone number.

Good luck whatever you get, you will enjoy it.

Welcome Mark.

There is a Cobra just about to come up for sale down here in Devon.
I think it could fit your requirements and certainly merits the travel.
I'll get the guy concerned to send you a pm.

Hi Mark, welcome to the club and especially to the East Anglian region, contact Andy Soar(regional rep goes by Dinosoar in the forum) to get on the mailing list. There are quite a few of us about in the area and if your free I will almost centainly be out in my Dax tommorow at Seething airfield(between Bungay and Norwich) if you want to have a look and a chat pop up. Same I did not know you live in Heveningham as I was down your way two weeks ago. I will send you a PM with my mobile if you want to meet up tommorow, cheers, Simon

Hi Mark

As everyone said - welcome.

I'm a new boy too, bought mine back in April - and never looked back. I was lucky enough to find one fairly local (stored near Diss) and am - to put it bluntly - chuffed to bits. Like an oinker in brown stuff.
