It is in no way top spec, but definitely doable for not much more than a Dax, AK etc.
I'd agree with Paul, GD is seriously worth looking at, they will supply you a complete breakdown of every single part to build.
When looking at any make of kit you need to sit down and really do the maths and see what comes with them and what exactly you will need to buy. The decision on what kit to buy for yourself is as big a task as building the car.
Advice .................... sit well back, read as much as possible, and visit and talk to all the suppliers if possible. The cost realisticly £20k to 30k,
Also bear in mind the re sale value should you ever decide to move on. GD sell for top prices.
lol mind you in the current climate any car is hard to sell, never mind big boys toys.

No matter how much research you do..... allways add a contingency for those extra shiny things (like the braided hose devil) that will inevitably cross your path and present themselves in an irresistable fashion.

Don't buy a Crendon.

Many more and they will be as common as muck. And we Crendon owners like our exclusivity! I am not sure but I think that JK at Crendon has been selling to some folks who are just not quite our sort...........

And so..........
I still can havnt decided on which kit, last week i was all ready to order an AK but a 7/8month wait will be unbearable.
Dax seem to have a 3month wait,,mmm could manage that.
Pilgrim have chasis in stock ready to go!! (so i hear)

Doing my head in now,am currently looking at jag donors.garage is half empty now(or is that half full?).

Think i`ll prob go for a rover v8 rebuild as its my first build and they seem simple and easy to get hold off.

Missus wants a purple body,i prefer blue.

prices,VAT,delivery times,colors,engines,ebay,
ALL DOING MY HEAD IN!!!!.
HELP!!!!

As a design and structural engineer by trade, I will say, go for the Dax De-dion or the Pilgrim.

As a Dax owner I will say go for the Dax. A well designed, strong chassis and not too long to wait.

With the Jag running gear you have plenty of scope for future engine upgrades but if a Rover suits you, (and it is a good engine) then go for the Pilgrim car.

Consider buying a cutout Chevy engine too though. These can be got for a few hundred pounds and are probably cheaper to rebuild than a Rover will be and you will end with a reliable 300+ hp

Craig.

Thanks Craig.
Can you reccommend anywhere i can get a chevy engine, other than ebay.
Must admit i`d like a bit more power than a rover v8 can give out.
