which kit? Hi All. Got my heart set on building a cobra, even the missus is backing me up! Currently deciding on which kit to go with and wonder what people thought. The choices so far include. Dax,Pilgrim,Ak,Gd. I`m from bedford so Dax and Ak are the nearest two(thinking of collecting parts instead of waiting for deliveries). (also which donor easiest to aquire, sierra or jag?) Cost and time isnt really an issue though i want a car to drive not to show. Am thinking of a v8 i guess. Would love to hear any advice or thoughts...cheers. P.S. was at newark on sunday and only kit that stood out was AK.~(gorjuss car!) browny points for them. Tho they were eating a jkt tayta so left em to it. had the missus n kids in tow but a grt day out anyways.. P.P.S. anyone got any pics off the kitcar girls??(could only manage a side glance!).

Personally I would say the Dax is the better car out there, with a very well designed De-Dion chassis that apparently handles rather well. I do own one though so I would say that wouldn't I? Also take a close look at the GD and the Madgewick car. The new body shape GD with sidepipes and their rather unique chassis makes for an very nice car indeed. The Madgewick car is also a very stiff chassis with a good looking body shell. Bit further to travel for parts I guess but that's what mail order is for. Good luck Craig.

You will need a Budget of 15K PLUS (allow 20K plus lol) to build one from scratch that's decent. Sumo MK3 will prob be the cheapest build and as good as any. Then you have AK and Dax, out of them I'd pick AK, Dax,s chassis flex a lot don't know about the new dion one magwick is very strong and a good kit, cockpit a tad small if your a porker Then you pop up a gear and Budget to GD and Crendon, 30k plus to build .................................................. ........ These are my thoughts as I dont own any and got no loyalties Oooo bear in Mind the economic climate and you may if your lucky buy a well built car for the right money but you will really have to do your homework to know what your looking for, but the regulars here are a helpfull bunch and you can have good fights with wilf and Chris Last edited by Cobra Rob; 24-06-09 at 10:37 PM..
