Dunno about enjoyment Brian, after a tussell , got the seats out, I suppose when its a self build you do things as you yourself think is good, but when someone else is working on the same car, they think to themselves " I would have done it differently". Case in question bolts through seat runners/ floor, nyloc nuts!! me stretching on the floor under the sidepipes, while my daughter having to virtually stand on her head to hold the bolt heads from turning in the runners.
I wouldn't have used nyloc nuts!!!! (makes it a two man/woman job)

My God only had it a day and I'm whinging allready!!!!!

By the way, I'm also a short arse, I would not move the seat forward if I was you, you'll end up far too close to the steering wheel. The best way to sort the problem out is to cut the pedals nearly all the way through, they can then be bent forward and back filled with some metal welded in. I did this AND had to make extensions! (It is not a quick job mind you!)

Not sure how the pedal box mounts on the Pilgrim but I had to move the pedals on the Dax too.

I made some 3" spacer tubes with threads in each end and placed these between the pedal assembly and the bulkhead. I also had to space the brake pedal connection to the servo with another threaded spacer but it all worked out very well in the end.

I can now leave my seat right at the back where it's comfortable for the steering wheel and gear lever and I can now reach the pedals too!

You could try blocks of wood on your shoes as a cheaper solution!

Craig.

Hi Alvin,

Welcome to the site and good luck with the new car

There is nothing wrong with a good bit of bling and polishing except £220 for a chrome alternator for a rover engine (better check my lotto numbers)

Cheers
Ian

ideally a permanent solution would be the way to go, but after missing all last summer while looking to buy a Cob I don't want to get too involved in alterations, plus the fact if I resell to upgrade later in the year it might be somebody with long legs who is a potencial buyer.
I also will be wanting to "clean things" up a bit like removing rocker covers for polishing etc. and as spring is not too far away I need to get out there to "blatt about" rather than too much "messing about" in the garage

I've just put the "mockers" on this spring and summer, by saying this, knowing my luck!!!!!!!

Many thanks, I get the idea, I will have a "weigh up" on the pedals tomorrow, with the seat travel at its maximum (forward) I'm not that far away, its just not comfortable having to stretch to completely dip the clutch, (fortunately Hydraulic!!!) I might just get away with moving the seat rails a small amount forward by re drilling. I'll give it a "good looking at" tomorrow (I've been polishing gel coat most of the day so had enough for today!!!)
