Hello everybody!

Hi all,

Just signed up as I'm about to start building a Pilgrim Sumo (sierra based). Hope you guys can give me some help along the way (and ultimately hope I can give some back too!)

Currently the build hasn't actually started, still trying to find a garage and donor car, but I'm v.excited nonetheless

Re: Hello everybody!

Welcome, you can look forward to lots of fun building the car, and frustration, good news is there are many clued up people here who can help.

Get those questions flowing and best of luck with the build

Re: Hello everybody!

Hi Paolo, I'm in the same boat as you - starting in early October though - summer holidays coming up, then 5 weeks for chassis/body manufacture.
I've got my Sierra, currently stripping things out. Plan is to have it on the road by the time the clocks go forward!!
Where in the country are you ?
What Engine config are you putting in ?

Richard

Re: Hello everybody!

Cool!

I'm in Egham, Surrey. I'm aiming to get mine done by August next year, hopefully 12 months should be plenty.

Not sure about engine yet, plan is a V8 of some sort, probably a Rover to keep costs down, but if I see a bargin Chevvy 5.7 block in the classfieds I may fit that instead. I reckon it'll take me a few months before I'm ready to drop the engine in so there's time to change my mind yet.
