New and must be MAD!

Hi all

Have been viewing this forum for a couple of weeks now so thought i'd better register.

Gained a lot of useful advice ready for my blind leap of insanity into cobrahood.

Story thus far:-

Chance comment from a friend that he was offered a partially built kit for a cheap deal, but could not justify the space as he had 2 projects on the go.
I got interested and now own the major parts of what i am pretty sure is a Cobretti Viper.

Rolling chassis, not too sure of the running gear make but probably ford.
Bodywork complete but requires all prep and work.

Engine!!! Rover V8 3.5 EFI (Flapper) from markings on the air filter and the Air con compressor am erring towards this being from a Range Rover (But not discounted LandRover). Not run it yet that's hopefully this weeks poject. Having imense trouble finding the engine harness wiring diagram. All seems to be there but i have found a round 6 pin connector by the alternator that doesn't seem to go any where and a round 3 pin connectore in the loom above it, and the distributor leads (not HV) just stop by the alternator and don't connect anywhere (yet) Found the connections for the 'external' plug so shouldn't be too hard to work out the rest (famous last words)

No gearbox as of yet but not too worried about this yet until i get the engine running.

I know this is an old kit, and appears to be one of the hardest to complete but what the hey! you only have so much hair to lose!!!!!

Sorry for the waffle so i shall end.

Cheers all.

A poultry sum would be two chickens plus two chickens = four.
