A 427 sideoiler will run you between £14k-20K for an original engine. Never mind the rebuild costs etc.. Alot of money..
You need to get an engine (ford obviously) that can be stroked to get big block torque with small block weight. So a 351 windsor made to run 408 cu.in should solve it nicely.

The other option to save you money would be to build a cobra with a 302 (stroked to 347) as this engine can be transplanted over into the GT40 replica. As you know the Mk1 had this as an original engine (302..not347) and the Mk2 had the BB 427.

yeah that is possiable, and be good i guess to get to know the 302 engine engine choise is still between the 302 and chevy it will depends on how the mood takes me when i get to that bit of the build.

no i am from the uk, i just type to fast sometimes and make mistakes, and spelling is not my strong point. my spelling goes wrong when i am thinking to much while im typeing or got the cat jumping on the keyboard.

i will type slower and pay more attention to my spelling
