Ak Builders

Hiya everyone,

i thought it was about time that the wife and i introduced ourselves to the rest of you, we have been using this site silenty for a while to skim any technical advice that we may need, but recently as the build has progressed and got more interesting shall we say, we finally bite the bullet and joined up, as i needed to asked questions. and a big thankyou to Purple AK for answering them so quickly.

As you can see from the title the wife and i are building an AK, its a 351 windsor with a tremec, underslungs and powersteering, the wife (louisa) wanted to keep the car looking like a period classic rather than a full out brute, oh well maybe next time.

cheers all

james

oh were in rugby in the midlands, case theres any local like minded out there.

Re: Ak Builders

My wife wanted the brute look and I wanted it to look like a roadster. We have sorted out a mixture and I am pleased with underslungs since I find sidepipes a bit too much...

Welcome aboard!

Re: Ak Builders

Welcome James & Louisa - you'll find everyone really helpful here so don't hesitate to ask for help no matter how basic your question might appear to be - also make sure you get along to your ocal regional meeting if you can.
