To try and work out a better location for the monthly meet which will potentially more northerly than it's current location in Boroughbridge. This might end up being alternate months or permanent.

There's always newbies thinking of building or buying so it would be good to know who to point them to locally for advice and a look round a Cobra.

I'll kick off, please copy and paste and add yourself to the bottom of list:

Hello Kevin

Spotted your post,I dont know if this would be of interest but i would be willing to host some or all of your meets. We have amble parking area and a large retail area that could be used for meets,Especially when its wet or cold.I would be willing to open up our workshop and as we will soon be in the cobra and daytona world and parts supply it may be benifical to all of us.Im keen to get some northern support going!

Kind Regards

John

Hi John / North East owners,

The North East group would appear to be a bit disbanded at the moment, Kev has resigned as area Rep due to lack of time & no one has yet come forward to take over what can be a very time consuming position, would you like to volunteer ?

As you can see from the list there are plenty of Cobra replica's around our area.

Where abouts is your premises ? A little more info would be good ( they don't take kindly to advertising on the posts though ! )

Unless someone puts their name forward for area Rep it may be best for anyone of us to suggest a time & place on here & see what happens rather than having a preset day & time. i.e. 12.00 on the first Sunday of the month, we could keep an eye on the weather forecast & if it is good for the coming weekend put up a suggestion & see what response there is ?

It seems to work on Pistonheads.
What do you all think

Regards Phil.
P.S. who from this area is going to the Silverstone Classic ?

Hang on Phil Any Area Rep needs to be a member of the Club. And, Whilst anyone can suggest impromptu meets, the monthly area meet needs to be a regular thing.
For every member that posts on here, there are probably 3 more that don't, but who rely on a regular meet being posted in Snake Torque/Contact from their Rep.
The Club is suffering enough now without another splinter group! Maybe you could look to taking over from Kev?

Hi phil, by all means have go at getting some meets and I'll support them whenever I can. I would follow what chris says and throw your hat into the ring if I was you though. Its a bloody tough area though as there's not many interested owners and the weather is a challenge.

Its got great potential however if someone puts the work in.
