Depressing isn't it. After much planning we (me n't wife) had finally got a day out in the Cobra planned. If it was just me I'd chance it, having Helen with me whilst the weather is poor just isn't my idea of fun. You never know they could be wrong with the forecast!

Well, did anyone make it to Tatton then? And was it any good, or did you all stop home & watch Silverstone suffer in the rain?

We never made it We considered it for all of 2 minutes Saturday morning but the weather wasn't showing any signs of letting up. We ended up going to Cheadle shopping in the tin top and very glad we didn't venture out in the Cobra as it was stair rods all the way! Such a shame as we were rerally looking forwards to it. Oh well summer might be here soon

I'd looked at the met office and up at the sky and though it would be a wash out too.

Then about 11.30 on Saturday it seemed to dry up, and the met office suggested it may be dry until 3-4pm.

Tatton is about 1/2 hour from me, so went in the Cobra - the only one at the whole show.

Weather was really nice and hot sunshine, so nice it had dried the grass by the time we got there, the only wet was the spray on the M60 where the drains are useless.

But hammered it back at 3.30 just before the rain returned.

So that was it - 4 hours of summer then!
