Unhappy Its a sad sad day. cob must go!

Due to lack of time money space and know-how is seems I am being forced to sell my cobra. I could use some help on trying to value it as at the moment its not 100% complete.
spec : Ford 427 engine, hol. carbs, 4 speed man box, 235 front tyres and 295 on the back.
Iam not a machanic but this beast could be running within hours. First reg in 87 on q plate, made by gel enginering.
Any help will great. The car is in Cardiff.
Thanks Lee

It would pay you to get some more info, what gearbox, suspension, are you sure its a 427 ford, if so casting numbers would help you get more dosh for it, and a couple of pics would help you too...

If it's a real 427 sell the engine and throw the rest of the car away
Just kidding.....engine number should tell you what you have.
This may help.

Get the engine tag number and all other numbers you can find including casting numbers.
Post them here and I'll tell you if it's a 427.

That engine has come out of a 1968 Galaxie, so it could well be a 427

I think your looking at the intake manifold casting No.

Details are:
1967-68
390-428
Police interceptor
4V
Aluminium
Used on 68 GT500

looks promising
