Nice motor, but BigThirsty ( BA Engines ) was looking at the same price for a 550bhp animal. I was tempted!! Maybe sold now

Re the mods etc as its Jag based there are fewer to consider, but the final fettling I believe was done by Roy and Jez down at Custom Power & Paint in Brenzett. So I doubt if there are any 'issues' with it.

I am referring to Ian's (Big Thirsty) and not the one from Pilgrim.

If your going to buy a car for 20 grand + you want to know if there are any issues with it and what your getting for your money. The issues with grims are well documented so I thought it only right to ask if the've all been sorted out properly and how

You could of course buy mine for 18 grand instead.

My cobra is Jag based, so there were none of the annoying little issues that have to be sorted. The car feels extremely well planted, which is probably a combination of the big block engine and heavier Pilgrim Jag chassis. I have had about 140 mph out of it, which i would not have attempted in a Granada based Pilgrim.

The car was also built by Roy Foster of Custom Power & Paint and the Bow Tie 454 was built by Jez. It has a new Six speed Borg Warner gearbox and has covered 280 miles in total.

It is still for sale and is currently in dry storage near southampton. I have advertised it on Pistonheads Kit Cars : 7.5 litre Big Block Cobra Replica
