Engine

Hi guys ,
is this engine of any use, cost wise for a Cob. Has anyone sorted one of these engines, if so what did you do and what type of costings
I'm thinking of biding for this engine and would appreiciate any input

Pete,I don't think it will fit in a SR engine bay.

what cobra kit would it fit in, or is it to big and heavy for anything

The FE will fit in a DAX although they shrug there shoulders at DAX if you dont say you wanna put a Chevy lump in it!

The FE will also go in the Crendon 427 (John Kerr).

Dont know about any others as i stopped researching when i went to visit John at Crendoin Cars.

when they say big block --they really mean big
what diference in weight and how much different in dimensions
any thing else to consider

When they mean big block it's a big block!! Much bigger than our small blocks.

Sure it will fit our engine bay,but you will have to modify the footwells and the transmission tunnel.

Sounds like a lot of messing around,
I think i will give up on this ideal then

probably easier to weld 2 twincam cosworth 4 pot lumps together on a common crank, what do you think of that

That sounds great for a lotus7!

As long as the common crank is welded better than your drive shafts!!

but not the crank welded,the blocks cut away and made into a V8. but it's probably already been done
