Do I have a complete Exhaust system????

Have opted for the chrome side pipes and have the following bits:

Outlet manifold
Chromed bend
Chromed side pipes
Mini bobbins
Cheese grater cover
Big jubilee clips
Mild steel strip for making support arms
Escutcheon plates

Having just watched the video is there another part that goes between the outlet manifold and the chromed bend?? It is difficult to tell when the video is edited down so much and the manual doesn't cover this.

I could start cutting the hole and connecting the parts together but have started worrying just after Pilgrim close for the weekend!

Thanks

Brian P

Same thing happened to me. You are missing the two down pipes from the manifold to the first chrome bend. Pilgrim will send you them out.

Do your sidepipes have the baffles already inside? I had to fit mine.
You won't pass SVA without.

Re: Do I have a complete Exhaust system????

Hi Keith

Forgot to list the baffles. I do have them although that was another part Pilgrim put to one side of me and managed to sell before I turned up to pick up the exhaust system.

Brian

You also have to bash the baffles down the pipe yourself!!!

Re: Do I have a complete Exhaust system????

that exhaust is very bad for everyday maintenance...you dont have enough room to be able to torque your exhaust...and it is not a trivial job to change some of the plugs as well...i m in the process of manufacturing new exhaust ..

Re: Do I have a complete Exhaust system????

I had a real nightmare tightening up the manifold myself - there isns't enough room to get a socket onto a couple of the bolts

Re: Do I have a complete Exhaust system????

I found that by taking a standard allen key and grinding off 3/4 of the shank [the bit that goes into the socket] you can manage all manifold bolts OK. There is a sequence to tighten the bolts as some snag with the manifold if not done 1st. I'd have to take a look to remember the sequence..
