Alternator

I'm putting together a second hand mark 2 sumo, the engine was from a blueprinted 2.8 v6 cop car, so came with the worlds largest alternator. Can someone point me in the right diretion of one that will fit. The build manual usefully says "mutsubishi" style.

Am I best finding one from a sierra in the scrappy.

Oh and easy explanations please, I very good with computers, but not so good with cars!

Re: Alternator

Hi Nova
On my MK2 Sumo the alternator was the standard Granada unit, using the Pilgrim mounting bracket. I don't know if a Sierra one will fit or not as it may have a different pivot point.

Re: Alternator

If you have the original alternator just take it to a local motor factors and get them to match it up with a smaller alternative
