Gear Lever

Hello again

Still waiting on my trim from Pilgrim, ordered December. So, doing all the little jobs I should have done ages ago.
Have been driving the beast up and down the street, annoying the neighbours, and the road tax is in the post, officer, honest!!
Sitting on a couple of rolled up tarps at the minute. However, the gear lever seems extremely long. Has anybody cut one down a bit?
How easy is it, and what thread is it?
Cheers

Phil

Re: Gear Lever

What gearbox have you got?

I know that users of the Tremec T56 (which I have in my cobra) often fit a "short shifter". The gearlever is held on with two bolts on my gearbox - don't know what it will be for yours. I think it's a 16mm thread on mine as well - again, not sure if this is standard

Re: Gear Lever

Just cut mine down and welded it with a slight dogleg towards the driver.

Re: Gear Lever

Phil

You don't need to re thread it as most of the aftermarket gear knobs fasten on with 3 allan screws. :thumb: :thumb:
