Tonneau Fitting

My final job is to fit the recently supplied tonneau cover from Pilgrim. However, my windscreen is in place as I am doing this post SVA after deciding I need some protection for the cockpit when I leave the car somewhere.

There seems to be very little space to drill and pop rivet the durable fasteners in place on the front scuttle. If you fit them too far back the back of the tonneau will go past the rolls bars (which is a problem as I have 2 x single roll bars)

I don't want to have to take the windscreen off................ absolutely not.

Any advice from you experts out there?

Cheers,

David

Re: Tonneau Fitting

I'm guessing, but perhaps a dremel held at an angle would allow you to drill the required holes in the dash, otherwise its a screen off job I reckon.

Re: Tonneau Fitting

A pin vice might be small enough - available from good tool shops or model making shops.
Might be a bit hard going as it's a hand job (pardon the expression) but you're only drilling GRP.
Model making shops or jewellers supplies might have a small flexy drive to take a drill.

A flexible drive in a power drill?........but be careful it is easy to get in a mess with them. Go at a slow speed.
