Suspension Bolts

Hi again

Have just stripped the suspension AGAIN. Had to change the two bottom swing arm fixings on each side for 80mm bolts to satisfy the two thread rule. However, checked the joint on the mushroom and sure as hell it does not comply either. Apart from new mushrooms from Pilgrim are there any other solutions??

I also noticed at the other end of that track rod after it has screwed through the swing arm, the locknut, albeit not a Nyloc, doesn't have two threads showing. Is this important for SVA??

Cheers

Phil

I Have heard of people cutting down the nut
so the threads protrude more, i would not suggest
any-one does this as it will weaken the joint !!
I think that getting new one's from pilgrim would be best,no point in taking chances.

As to the threads on the swing arm, mine is the same and i am not sure if this applies.

Maybe some-one could let us know ?!?!

I have attatched a pic

Hey Terry - nice discs!!

Phil - have a look at my post about this from last week. This was the easiest and quickest solution for me.
