| Pilgrim Stoneguards Hi again Just received the stoneguards from Pilgrim. Did I read somewhere that they are fitted with rubber surrounds or is it straight metal to fibreglass?? What is the best fixing method?? Cheers Phil |

| Re: Pilgrim Stoneguards Can't speak for pilgrim stoneguards, but without rubber edges you may have a problem with SVA as the edges aren't raduised. (Of course if you've already passed SVA, go for it.)

| Re: Pilgrim Stoneguards Hi again No, haven't passed SVA yet, so should I just leave them off or is rubber an option?? Philo |

| Re: Pilgrim Stoneguards Phil I am leaving the fitting of them until after SVA and then will fit with rubber surround and using the trusty black sealer will stick them on so no fixings are shown Anthony

| Re: Pilgrim Stoneguards Anthony Did yours come with the rubber edging or did you source it yourself?? Phil |

| Re: Pilgrim Stoneguards GD method is a single rounded/allen key bolt in the top corner by the door, then 3 or 4 rivets along the underside of the wheel arch, small rubber C section along the top edges. Works a treat, passes SVA and means you can get them off for cleaning / replacement or painting the bodyshell later.

| Re: Pilgrim Stoneguards Pilgrim can supply the rubber but I bought some while I was at Stoneleigh, not much in it price wise but obviously more convenient to pick it up while its infront of you at a show. Good point about the fixings though, if you do rivet them then they are removeable for cleaning etc but hey mines not getting dirty Anthony

| Re: Pilgrim Stoneguards Fitted mine the same way as Tony M. Three stainless steel button headed bolts. Anthony, it is really convenient to be able to get them off for the winter overhaul as they deteriorate quite badly in use. If they can be easily removed, you can get them repolished ,on a benchgrinder or similar, for the next summer. If they are rivetted, you will always risk marking them, or the paintwork, when trying to drill out the rivets. Paul |
