Wiring loom: fan wiring

Hi,

We've just finished wiring up the engine and other engine bay electrics (with the help of a professional...) and have wired up the fans a bit differently so thought I would let you guys know in case it proves to be useful.

Instead of having it so that when the engine reaches a certain temperature both fans automatically come on we re-wired it so that one fan comes on at a lower temperature and as the engine reaches a higher temperature both come on. I've forgotten the exact temperature increments but have them written down somewhere and will add them later. We used a three-way switch to do this.

I'm not sure if this will be of interest to you but I thought I'd let you know anyway.

John

Re: Wiring loom: fan wiring

I forgot to mention that this is using a new, Pilgrim-supplied radiator with 2 new Pacet fans on a Rover 3.5 litre V8 engine with Pilgrim's new wiring loom!
