I hear the sound of...............

What did you do last night dad?

Oh nothing much went into the garage as usual fitted new dizzy re-set the timing and started my rv8 for the first time in my 50% completed Sumo Mk3 - just a normal day at the office really

How do i feel?

After 15 months a huge aray of emotions and weather conditions the first time has just got to be the best but so was the second third and fourth times etc - i got a bit giddy really - went to the pub quietly celebrated, ate went to bed early with a small whiskey and huge grin - slept like log

If you've been there and done you already know what i mean - if you haven't you can't imagine the feeling

Satr of the show? Jim Robinson a god amongst men thanks Jim

Re: I hear the sound of...............

Congratulations! It's the best feeling in the world when your previous collection of metal and bolts actually becomes a car!

Re: I hear the sound of...............

Well done!!

The next milestone will be when the pedal box and clutch are in and you can move it forward under it's own power.

(Just make sure there aren't any walls in the way )

Re: I hear the sound of...............

Its a great feeling, when your engine burst into life for the first time, I've still got a grin on my face from when I started mine at the weekend. Good luck with the rest of the build.

Re: I hear the sound of...............

Congratulations to that man. I started my engine for the first time this weekend, and I agree, it is one hell of a moral booster. Everybody I work with is getting sick of engine talk, but hey, they just don't understand, do they! The other half just said, oh thats nice, now what do you want for your tea. Propshaft is now on order snd clutch cable on way, so hopefully we will go for some movement this weekend. Oh er misses
