Roof/hood

Hi guys,
the sumo ive got has the full(ish) wet weather top & plastic windows....
the only problem is that the passenger side U channel that sits on the windscreen is missing. Does anyone know where i can get a new passenger side piece? or is there a template for making one???

Its dreadfully uncool driving in the p*ssing down rain with masking tape holding the wet gear to the car!!!!

cheers
Andy

Re: Roof/hood

Call Pilgrim, I'm sure they would sell you one. Failing that Europa sell them also.

Re: Roof/hood

I think these are the bits known as "hood bows" [stand by to be corrected] and I got mine from S & J - the stud which slots into the windscreen channel is (IMO) better than the Pilgrim article:thumb:

Re: Roof/hood

If you can view the attached picture, you will see what to my mond at least is the best answer to wet weather equipment.

Re: Roof/hood

Jem,
that looks fabulous.

Come on - you can just stick that up without any commentary!
Where did it come from, and how much did it cost?

Kevin

Kevin,
Thanks for the appreciation! It was made by www.cobratops.co.uk and is currently available for just the Sumo and DAX kits.
The kit includes the aluminium surrounded sidescreens, lift up hatch with heated rear window and remotely operated servos to open the doors. Tested to 140mph the car has been transformed - it is possible to hold a conversation at 100!
Cost for the full kit is £1850 plus do your own paint (£300 in my case).
Regards
Jeremy
