Number Plate Light Again - last time promise

Can i have an answer to this please?

I've decided to run the wires to the rear number plate light through the boot lid - so it goes in at the top through the void and then? does it come out and go to the back of the light or can you get it all the way to the rear light fitting in the void of the boot lid? Then it can come out behind the fitting on the outside of the boot lid be connected and the fitting is replaced hiding all the wire except for where it enters the boot lid inside at the top

OK?

Here's how I did mine - certainly not the tidiest but it's on my to-do list
