pilgrim over riders

hi, can anyone tell me the distance between the over riders, as i was thinking of not useing the nudge bar,in the manual it says to bolt onto the bracket on the chassi, the one with the elongated holes, but looking at the pic in the manual ,it seems they dont go there, confusing?also when i have the rad in place, pilgrim supplied, the bottom hose goes right through the right bracket. am i missing out on something, the over riders i got i was told were pilgrim, but the distance between the holes on the over rider is about 3" and on the chassi bracket max is about 5", any help would be great, i think its time pilgrim updated there manual, its the same pics aas in the mk2 version, cheers ,grizz.

Grizz

I am not too sure what you mean by your explanation, maybe if you can put some pics up here it may help.

I agree with you about the pics in the manual though,
also the quality of them aren't that good !!!!

Tony if your looking at this i will give you a quote for some new up to date quality pics for a new updated manual.

re over riders

hi, thanks for your reply. i am building a mk 2 cob by pilgrim, hmm?yes it is old got it cheap body chassi, not been touched, how time flys, just discovered i have had it five years, and still not on the road, got mk2 manual with it, plus bought mk3 manual, had plenty of time to read through them both, and i have got to say , what a pile off s##t,sorry for that. pics dont match up,etc, anyway, got my engine running, first time in about 2 yrs, didnt know what i had bought, wasnt running when i bought it, its a rv8. but sounds fine, oil presure about 20 at tick over, realy noisey, because pilgrim still havent sent my side pipes, 20 odd weeks.but as i said had plenty time to look at this and that, when i put my rad in, noticed was hell off a close to the bracket on the chassi for the over riders, now mine are the one as the manual says, with the elongated slots, but i had to cut some of the bracket away so the bottom rad hose could clear it, the rad that pilgrim supplied, so check my bible again, seen the pics for fixing the over riders, and they dont even go into these so called elongated slots, by the way i am no where near putting the body on, but got to check all these things, and they are not working out,so i was going to just put over riders on, but in case i change my mind and put the nudge bar on, i was wanting to know the distance between the over riders, also i dont have any indentations ,on the bodywork as an idication where the should go,looking at the position of the rad, and where the stud bolts go ,its very tight, will try put some pics on if my wife will show me how, ps, between me and you, think the guy was drunk who made my bodyshell, sheeee? thats another story, if you can help me, great, going for another beer out of fridge, drown my sorros.

Hi Grizz

Here are some pics for you.

BTW - This front nudge bar is for sale if it helps.

The measurements are 700 mm and 707 mm as the mounting brackets are welded on at an angle, see
other pic.
