Karl,
I have a scabby old mini heater in my garage it doesn't leak & the last time it was in my Sumo it worked.
I was about to bin it so you can have it if you can pick it up!

If you have a donor car kicking about, you could always use the heater from that. I used the Sierra heater, it involved a bit of cutting and fettling but fitted in a treat and blows about 10 times more than any mini heater.
cheers,
Graham

The sierra heater seemed way too big too, you just need to be brave with an angle grider. (perhaps granada heaters are even bigger though, I don't know?)
It took most of a day to sort it, so perhaps a free mini heater will save you some time/effort as there's one on offer. I have pictures of the changes in progress if your interested.

Had quick look on ebay at seirra heater and the box with paddles in seems the same but the blower, which i still have, was bolted on from engine bay through bulkhead. Pictures would be much appreciated if you could post here or mail to me.

Hi,

here's the pics, sorry for the delay. It looks a bit messy but after a lick of paint it came up rather well.

the rectangular holes are to let warm air into the foot well, I cut circles in this area for the ducting up to the screen. There's plenty of air to go round.

You want a MK2 VW Polo heater, much smaller and no butchering required and more heat than you will ever need.

That looks lovely Graham, have you considered a career on Blue Peter?

But please tell me why you've posted two pictures of your bagpipes?

Pete
