I bought a sheet on Ebay, I think it was 1mm. Quite flexible but went down really nice and flat.
If you find a better way of doing it please let us know. Good luck.

I followed the idea with expanding faom, made sure it was fire retardent, just in case. Makes a solid job, the edge rather than rubber U section, I used chrome U section trim from Woolies. The forward edge was Ali angle from BnQ

I used either 3/4 or 1" thick marine grade ply on top of my bulkhead, and a machine finished stainless sheet on top of that. The ply is thick enough to span any depressions in the original bulkhead surface and the sheeting is srewed through it to the bulkhead with rivnut fasteners so that it can be taken off to get at other bolts etc. The stainless is edged at the back with the small 'D' section edging that has a woven finish to it, and at the front I've used the same as Ian has - B&Q's best Aluminium angle, polished up.
I've attached a couple of photos to better explain. Cheers Marty |

Hello, I like the idea of being able to remove it, better than the foam solution I think.
I've added it to the site, hope you don't mind me copying your pictures bulkhead You can get a wide range of stainless sheets from ebay, with a range of finishes, its not cheap though. cheers
