Megasquirt isn't that bad a fit. The instructions are now quite good and there are a few of us fitted them to the RV8. If you're keeping the dizzy then mounting the kit and wiring the loom is straightforward. If you ditch the dizzy and fit cop or lost spark coils then it's a little more involved as you need to mark and fairly accurately mount the trigger wheel on the back of the crank pulley and make a bracket to take the crank sensor.

Once the hardware is on and checked, setting the MS is a process of following the instructions in the manual and asking questions. If you get a built and tested MS then the builder should already have programmed it with your engine details. I bought mine from Phil Ringwood and would recommend him.
