Sumo Bumpsteer etc. etc.......

Spent the best part of Saturday in Sidecarbod's garage sorting out the bumpsteer and castor angle issues, what can I say.....with hindsight it went in as a badly handling Sumo and came out handling just like an AK, the difference is profound. Whoever said that there was a good car trying to get out of a Sumo was absolutely correct. It can now go around corners significantly quicker and feels like it is on rails, is now mental on lumpy country lanes, and is nearly boring on motorways

Many, many thanks to Pete for spending significantly more than "a couple of hours" to sort it out, and his wife for putting up with him

For those of you with a Sumo, don't put it off for as long as I did, get it done and start embarrassing some Dax's

PS. don't start asking Pete about the mods, do a search, it's been covered comprehensively before and most of the info is here under Stage 1 Rolling Chassis - Steering

Noel,

It was a pleasure mate!

I don't think that you should be trying to out run the French airforce though!

Pete

By the way, met up with a BMW Z8 yesterday and decided to put the mods to the test, absolutely creamed him in a side by side drag. He was very sporting at the end and very kind in his compliments. If you don't know what it is have a look here...very rare, and a very, very nice looking car

I bet you can't go round corners as quick as me that's if you can even catch me first!!

If you buy a proper car, no such mods are required!!
