Cancel insurance, if you can do so without penalty, with Adrian Flux and go with Blackford Bloor who will insure for pre SVA MOT and MOT on the VIn number. . I believe that you dio have to trailer the car to an inspection if your local office wont do a home visit.

Cheers,

Tony

You want to ask to speak to a grown up @ Flux as they're talking B*ll*x.

They insured my car for just this purpose on the chassis number.
Beware though, as they don't tell you it is only valid for 30 days, not renewable (more B*ll*x) and if you hjave to cancel, you lose a large proportion of the fee .

I'm with Adrian Flux who are Insurance brokers and not an Insurance Company. My actual policy is with Chaucer Insurance and I had no problems with them for SVA and DVLA Insurance.
I have tried to get quotes from all the major kit insurers over the years and Adrian Flux is the only company who will insure me for the amount of miles I cover in a year.

I was with flux for quite a long time but their attitude to their continued cock ups at renewal time, along with their attempt to take the renewal money from my credit card without my permission was arrogant to put it mildly.
I wouldn't deal with them again, but that was only my experience.

Thanks all i will mail this guy on the inside, i think the girl who dealt with my inquiry did not have a clue re: kit cars but did not argue the point.

Steady!! BB came in at half the price of Flux on my renewal last year. (Once badgered) And they always answer the phone and talk to you like a human being Why should we need an insider?? They should be on the ball to start with!!
