    Brake master cylinder poblems

HI, i tried to bleed my brakes this weekend to check if everything was ok with the peddle box ,servo/master cylinder before its converted to a hydrulic clutch, but could not bleed the brakes properly, when i filled the reservoir up it stayed topped up even with the bleed nipples open , in fact it stayed full up even with all three brake pipes taken off , when i stripped it down thinking that the transfer holes were blocked , i found that the holes were so tiny that i could fill the reservoir, and even with the internals removed the fluid would not flow through. This explains why i could not get much fluid into the lines .
i've never had this problem with bleeding before ,
So any ideas please , as it must have worked at some point on a sierra .

would it be possible to open up the holes slightly to get the fluid through ?
    Cheers , Rob.

    Hi Rob

I think you will find that the fliud will not flow through the holes without assistance. This is why you need to press the pedal to pressurise the system.

Make sure your assistant applies a good pressure to the pedal before you open the bleed screw otherwise you risk sucking air back into the system and never resolving the problem. If you need more detailed instructions, please ask.

As you say, it worked on the Sierra so should work for you now.

    Cheers

    Paul

HI, thanks for replying, i understand about the pedal pressurising the system and have blead brakes on cars and bikes in the past with no problems ,but spent the whole of sunday pumping the sodding pedal ,haha . And went through the entire system to see if there was a blockage. and found that even with the three pipes removed off the cylinder, it still could not be pumped out using the pedal. Anyway this morning thanks to a bloke called dave at brakes international 01204 385888 ,he went through their website with me and looked at all the pics and we found a new replacment, not easy when you dont have the reg or even the year of the donor one , so should get sorted now with a new one this week .

maybe it didnt work on the sierra ????? cheers , Rob.
