Sumo Seats

Does anyone have the dimensions of the pilgrim supplied seats? I have been located some bucket seats (merlin sport) and I want to make sure before buying

Norm

Oh well, done it again!

I'd be a little careful with Pilgrim seats. I used their shells & had them trimmed elsewhere. Whilst they look excellent replicas, I find them too upright & are not very comfortable on a long run. I think the GD ones are much better in this respect although the appearance is definitely not 1960's cobra - just a thought

Cheers

RE: Sumo Seats

Sumo Seats are wider than other cobra's (Hence the Thinner transmission). It is true that they are upright, I got my seats From Penny, She was able to provide the shells made by Pilgrim but after a test sit on a couple I opted for the Shells she uses from a local supplier that are leaned back slightly more. I can give you the Dimenssions for these this evening... What Dimensions in particular are you wanting?

RE: Sumo Seats

Pilgrim Sumo seats are 18 1/2 inches wide at the widest point, 20 inches long and 22 inches high.

I found them quite comfortable after a "breaking in" period although they are quite upright and I am trying to find a good way of reclining them slightly without placing the mounting bolts at an acute angle to the floor.

Hope this helps.

RE: Sumo Seats

Paul
It's certainly an awkward problem that I've partly solved by taking off the runners to lower the seats, bolting them directly to the floor & then raising the front of the seat on about 3cm of MDF. Not ideal I'll admit but it helps. Also being fairly tall, I get a little more protection from the windscreen & look through it rather than over it! If you can think of a better solution let me know

Cheers
