Sumo Handbrake replacement

After searching the web for more information on the Desktop Dyno as talked about in Lardy's post on engines. I came across Mr Gaskets online catalogue (http://www.mrgasket.com/mrgmain.html), I decided to give up the search for the software and instead started to browse the 200 page catalogu of shiny parts. On page 33 I found an advert for a chromed handbrake that I thought would be a perfect replacement for the ugly sierra article currently gracing my machine.

Just a quick question, Has anyone bought this particular handbrake and would it indeed be a good replacement for the sierra one? Also has anyone bought anything from Mr gasket, if so where the hell from as I can't see any indication of an address?

RE: Sumo Handbrake replacement

Don't suppose you know the length of the handbrake lever?

I took my car for a test down the road the other day and the first thing I noticed was that my left wrist hist the Sierra lever when I get into 2nd/4th gears.

Cheers,
Tony B

RE: Sumo Handbrake replacement

All I know is what is listed in the description. It looks like it has a lower profile than the Sierra one, wouldn't know about the length. Will give Real steal a ring today to see if it's somthing they stock.

RE: Sumo Handbrake replacement

Just spoke to a chap at realsteel, Going to get the price + Dimensions etc.. from Mr Gasket, Will update this thread when I get a response.

Just had a thought, Will probably need to adapt the way the pilgrim supplied cable connects to the base. But where there is a will...
