SUMO Parts

Due to the terrible delivery times from Pilgrim, I am trying to source components elsewhere. Am I right in thinking that the 7” headlight nest assembly and headlight sold by Stafford Vehicle Company will be compatible?, as well as indicator lamps ?

In fact quite a lot of the bright work seems to be available from SVC to fit the SUMO

I can get the gauges direct from ETB, so no problem there.

Exhaust from shiny bit’s seem to be compatible.

How about carpet suppliers ?, or has someone a template for the SUMO carpets?

Steve

RE: SUMO Parts

That seems to be their biggest problem - never enough stock and can never deliver when promised.

As for lights, the SVC ones will suit fine. So to will indicators, brakes, etc.

With regard to carpets, I let Danny Mann copy mine (Pilgrim supplied) and I know that he has lent them around since. Not sure who has them now.

Cheers,
Tony B

RE: SUMO Parts

europa spares have them too, slightly cheaper perhaps. Note that although both companies say headlamp assembly, they don't include the rims, which cost far too much for what they are.

RE: SUMO Parts

Kevin

I've gone for a new set of carpets, hopefully to be delivered next week and they now include a boot set.

Gary Hustler contacted me back in April wanting to join the queue behind me so could you send the templates to him when you've finished with them. I'll send you his address off the forum.

I'll try and make another set of templates from the carpets that I've ordered (hope Tony Holmes doesn't read this !!) and get that in circulation aswell.

Cheers

David

RE: SUMO Parts

Adrian, not a problem, but you might want to talk to Gary Hustler as he might finish with the other templates before I get mine done.

If anyone wants to come and vist with a roll of paper (large) you're welcome to make your own templates once I've taken delivery of the carpet set. I'm near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

RE: SUMO Parts

Hi Guys,

I am relatively new visitor to this forum and would like to add my name to the ever increasing demand for these templates. I hope to be bying the carpet at the Dinnington show, so will not need them until mid September at the earliest. Does anyone know of a company in Bucks or Oxfordshire that could sew up the edges etc? Or what should I look for in the Yellow Pages?
